Job Summary
The Registered Nurse Emergency NE FSED will provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care in accordance with state and specialty standards. The RN will collaborate with medical providers and care team members to deliver individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models.
Responsibilities- Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate patient needs, resolving them proactively.
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures.
- Translate complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.
- Prepare patients and families for future self‑management.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or RN Diploma.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course certification required within 1 year of employment start date.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
- At least 1 year of nursing experience.
- No travel required.
