As a Registered Nurse Progressive Care, your voice will influence patient care through collaborative relationships with your direct manager and participation in hospital councils and nursing initiatives. You’ll help shape decisions that elevate patient outcomes and the future of nursing.
Responsibilities- Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s) and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient’s medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response.
- Respond promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipate patient needs, and resolve them.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (RN) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
- No travel required.
