Overview

Registered Nurse – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Del Sol Medical Center. Strong staffing support, technology, robust supply chain, and ongoing clinical education to help you deliver safe, high-quality care while you focus on patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide post-operative care for surgical patients in the PACU.
  • Manage airway support and closely monitor neurological and cardiac status.
  • Respond promptly to complications or side effects.
  • Provide initial wound care and ensure patient stability during recovery.
  • Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia team.
  • Maintain documentation of patient condition changes and care provided.
  • Educate patients and families about medical condition, treatment, and follow-up measures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and evidence-based practices.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or RN Diploma).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
  • No travel required.
Work Schedule & Staffing

Self/Preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance. On‑call availability during select non‑business hours will be discussed during interview.

Support from Certified Nurse Assistants, Patient Care Techs, Charge Nurses, and RN float pool.

Rounding with unit leaders to ensure staff voice in patient care.
