Job Summary
The Transport coordinator is responsible for the supervision of daily activities of the unit and staff to assure quality patient care. To coordinate the efforts of the staff in order to meet the needs of the patients and customers. To increase the quality of patient care by educational and QI programs. To provide expert knowledge, leadership, and education for individuals within the unit.
To develop educational programs to enhance the staff’s knowledge of current trends in nursing. To develop, implement, and maintain a quality improvement process for the unit. To perform chart audits for quality improvement of documentation and risk reduction, in order to maintain and/or improve patient outcomes. To anticipate and improve staffing based on unit needs. To collaborate and assist the Administrative Director and Director in developing and implementing projects that enhance the quality of the unit.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitation () must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Traumatic Stabilization (T-SABLE) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Registered Nurse (RN) required
- Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
- No travel required
- Minimum 3 years of experience
