HVAC Program Director

Delta Technical College is seeking an experienced HVAC professional and leader to serve as our HVAC Program Director. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the HVAC trade but is ready to make a broader impact by leading an instructional team, supporting students, and helping ensure our HVAC program continues to meet the needs of today's industry.
As the HVAC Program Director, you'll oversee the day-to-day success of the program while coaching and developing instructors, maintaining high-quality hands-on training, supporting student achievement, and ensuring curriculum and program standards remain aligned with industry expectations.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support the HVAC instructional team, including onboarding, coaching, classroom observations, and performance feedback.
- Oversee daily program operations, class scheduling, labs, equipment, supplies, and instructional quality.
- Ensure HVAC curriculum and training remain aligned with industry standards and certification requirements.
- Monitor and support student retention, credentialing, graduation, and career-placement outcomes.
- Work closely with campus leadership to address student and faculty needs and continuously improve the program.
- Lead program compliance, documentation, reporting, and accreditation activities, including applicable HVAC Excellence requirements.
- Remain connected to the classroom and teach or provide instructional coverage as needed.
We're looking for someone who combines HVAC industry knowledge with strong leadership and people skills. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, comfortable coaching others, and passionate about helping both instructors and students succeed.
Previous teaching experience in a postsecondary, vocational, or technical environment is preferred, along with experience in leadership, instructional coaching, or program development.

Compensation: $65,000-$72,000 annually
