Business Development Officer​/Lender | Fulton, MS

This role combines active business development with hands on lending across the needs of individuals, families, farmers, and businesses.

• Build new loan and deposit relationships through customer outreach, referrals, networking, and community involvement.
• Meet with customers, understand their goals, and recommend appropriate lending and banking solutions.
• Originate and manage consumer, residential real estate, commercial, commercial real estate, and agricultural loans.
• Analyze financial information, structure and present credit requests, and coordinate timely closings with bank partners.
• Manage an assigned portfolio, monitor credit quality, and handle renewals, past dues, and documentation needs.
• Follow bank lending policies and applicable laws while protecting customer information and providing responsive service.

Requirements

• Experience in lending, credit analysis, business development, banking, or a closely related financial services role.
• Ability to develop relationships and generate new loan and deposit opportunities.
• Working knowledge of lending principles, credit analysis, loan structuring, and financial statements.
• Strong communication, judgment, organization, and customer service skills; ability to work independently and with a team.
• A bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant banking experience; a valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.

Preferred experience

Five or more years in lending, banking, or business development; a network in Fulton, Itawamba County, or nearby markets; formal credit training; or experience managing a diversified loan portfolio.
