Hoist Operator

Job Description

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Hoist Operator for a company based in Columbus, MS. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a long-lasting machine and maintenance facility.

Pay Rate $25.00 to 34.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours Monday through Friday, 8 00 am to 5 00 pm.

• Controlling levers, pedals, and throttles to control the start, stop and speed of hoist/winch drums.
• Wind and unwind cables, select loads based on weight/size specifications, and ensure heavy components are placed precisely.
• Transport materials to designated locations within the facility, maintaining inventory accuracy and organization.
• Inspect and maintain fuel tanks, lubricate equipment, and apply hand and foot brakes to secure hoists.
• Closely follow safety regulations and guidelines at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and securing loads properly.

• 1-2 years of experience in commercial construction, warehousing, or manufacturing
• Strong mechanical aptitude, good hand eye coordination, and the physical ability to lift heavy objects and work at elevated heights.
• Ability to understand and follow safety protocols and operating instructions to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy loads safely and efficiently.
