Registered Nurse; RN ICU – Nights

Location: George Regional Hospital – Lucedale, MS
Department: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Schedule: Full-Time, Night Shift
Reports To: ICU Nurse Manager

George Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit on the night shift. The ICU RN provides comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients, utilizing strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and assessment skills. This position works closely with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to provide safe, timely, and patient-centered care.

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill and high-acuity patients
• Assess and continuously monitor patient conditions, vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and response to treatment
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment and plans of care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Follow hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection prevention procedures

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Mississippi or eligibility to obtain
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required or willingness to obtain
• Previous ICU, critical care, or acute care nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in high-acuity situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
