PositionSummary
The Commercial HVAC Filter Technician is responsible for replacing air filters, cleaning components, and performing preventative maintenance services on commercial HVAC systems. This role ensures optimal system performance, indoor air quality, and customer satisfaction through timely and professional service.
Key Responsibilities
Replace HVAC air filters in commercial buildings according to service schedules
Inspect air handling units (AHUs), rooftop units (RTUs), and related equipment
Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks as assigned
Identify and report mechanical issues or safety concerns to supervisors
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Communicate professionally with customers on-site
Follow company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred
1+ year experience in HVAC, maintenance, or construction preferred
Basic knowledge of commercial HVAC systems is a plus
Ability to use hand tools and basic equipment
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to climb ladders and work on rooftops
Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces
Work Environment
This position works primarily in the field on active job sites. Some overtime, weekend work, and travel between job sites may be required based on workload.
