PositionSummary
The Commercial Service Plumber is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial facilities. This role focuses on service, troubleshooting, and customer-facing work rather than new construction. The Commercial Service Plumber responds to service calls, ensures systems operate efficiently and safely, and delivers high-quality workmanship while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, service, and repair commercial plumbing systems including water, sewer, gas, and specialty piping
Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls in commercial environments
Troubleshoot plumbing issues and recommend effective repair solutions
Repair or replace fixtures, valves, pumps, backflow prev enters, and related components
Perform inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance
Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national plumbing codes
Communicate clearly with customers, property managers, and internal teams regarding findings and repairs
Accurately document service work, materials used, and time spent
Maintain service vehicle, tools, and equipment
Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations
Valid Journeyman Plumber license (as required by state)
3+ years of commercial plumbing service experience
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Experience working in occupied commercial buildings (healthcare, retail, office, industrial, etc.)
Knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and applicable codes
Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various conditions (ladders, confined spaces, rooftops)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
OSHA certification preferred
