Basic Salary: £50,000 (DOE)
Full-Time Permanent
Monday Thursday: 8:00am 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am 3:00pm
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Bus & Coach (PSV) Technician to join a specialist commercial vehicle workshop based in Southwater, West Sussex.
This is a workshop-based role working across PSV vehicles including minibuses, midibuses, coaches, and electric vehicles, supporting inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and vehicle preparation across multiple manufacturers and powertrains.
The position offers long-term stability, strong earning potential, and ongoing technical development within a growing aftersales operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed mechanical and electrical diagnostics on bus and coach vehicles
- Fault finding on CAN systems, electrical networks, and vehicle control systems
- Diagnose and repair PSV air systems including braking and suspension
- Perform axle, driveline, steering, and chassis-related repairs
- Complete routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and defect rectification
- Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) and vehicle preparation for customer handover
- Inspect and rectify PSVAR-related systems, including accessibility equipment
- Ensure vehicles meet DVSA, safety, and regulatory compliance standards
- Accurately document all work completed using workshop systems and job cards
- Work closely with Aftersales, Warranty, and Engineering teams
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment in line with H&S standards
Your Background & Skillset
- Proven experience as a PSV / Bus / Coach / HGV Technician
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic capability
- Confident fault-finding using wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Relevant vehicle maintenance qualifications or equivalent experience
- Full clean UK Driving Licence
- PSV (Category
D) licence preferred - High-voltage certification desirable (training available for suitable candidates)
