We are seeking a senior, consultative Business Development professional to support and grow a highly established Mid-Atlantic book of business in a fully onsite role. This position works closely with a top-performing senior partner who will serve as a mentor and will be transitioning their book of business over time. The mentor is a top producer—not a coach—and learning will occur primarily through shadowing live calls, client meetings, and real-time deal execution.

The ideal candidate brings proven experience in consultative B2B sales, professional polish, and the ability to manage a disciplined, metric-driven sales process while building long-term client relationships within the accounting and professional services space.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work directly with a senior, top-producing partner to support, maintain, and grow an established Mid-Atlantic client base (PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD).
  • Learn the business, clients, and sales approach by shadowing a high-performing producer across live calls, client meetings, and deal execution.
  • Execute consultative B2B business development activities, including outbound outreach, discovery conversations, relationship management, and opportunity advancement.
  • Manage daily sales activity using defined scorecards, including outbound touches, discovery calls, and pipeline metrics.
  • Engage confidently with accounting and professional services clients, representing the firm with professionalism and credibility.
  • Collaborate closely with internal client services, marketing, SDR, and project teams to advance opportunities and deliver a seamless client experience.
  • Participate in in-person client meetings, networking events, and conferences as appropriate.
  • Leverage inbound leads from marketing and outbound leads from SDR resources in addition to personal networking efforts.
  • Support team-based selling efforts on larger or strategic accounts.
  • Progressively assume ownership of client relationships and revenue as part of a planned book-of-business transition.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven experience in consultative B2B business development or professional services sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a disciplined, metric-driven sales process.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail in proposals and client-facing materials.
  • Professional maturity and confidence engaging senior-level stakeholders.
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite full time in Horsham, PA.
  • Experience selling into a professional services environment is highly preferred such as accounting, attorney, banking, etc.
  • Long-term career mindset; candidates seeking short-term or transitional roles are not a fit.
