Study Hall Monitor

The Study Hall Monitor is responsible for supervising students during study halls, lunch periods, and other assigned school activities to help maintain a safe, orderly, and productive environment. This position works under the direction of the ESS Supervisor, Assistant Principal, and/or their designee and may assist with additional student supervision duties as needed.

Essential duties and responsibilities may vary based on student, school, and district needs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supervise study halls with 30+ students present and maintain appropriate student behavior.
• Take and record student attendance during assigned study hall periods.
• Monitor students in the cafeteria during lunch periods.
• Use district technology and computer programs for attendance, communication, and basic record keeping.
• Communicate effectively using a walkie-talkie or other school communication devices.
• Provide supervision during lunch, recess, hallways, and other assigned locations.
• Assist with monitoring In-School Suspension (ISS) as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• PA Department of Education Form 6004:
  Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification – Act 24
• PA State Police Criminal History Clearance – Act 34
• Federal Criminal History Clearance – Act 114
• Child Abuse Clearance – Act 151
• Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release – Act 168
• Tuberculosis Test and Physical
