PurposeThe Director, Customer Engagement & Media Measurement, will bring a deep understanding of the intricacies of media data and analytics for major brands with experience in both building a comprehensive measurement framework across the J&J sectors:
Innovative Medicine, Med Tech and Corporate. This leader will partner closely with other members of the Insights and Analytics organization as well as other Brand leadership to drive a robust, data-driven and highly strategic approach that identifies key leading and lagging metrics to help drive faster decision making, line of sight to impact of execution (content and channel) and investments across all aspects of the customer and patient treatment journey.
This position will report to the Senior Director of Customer Engagement, Content & Media Excellence.
The Director, Customer Engagement & Media Measurement, is responsible for defining the comprehensive measurement framework and KPIs and will play a lead role in developing our integrated measurement reports that are delivered to brand to connect execution to impact including measures such as patient conversion, ROI, mROI. This leader will partner closely with the media and creative agencies, the Insights & Analytics organization, and key internal stakeholders including Senior Leadership to develop and align a framework across the enterprise, used consistently to track performance and support faster optimization decisions to improve performance and achieve business goals.
ResponsibilitiesInclude
- Serve as a strategic leader and SME within the Customer Engagement, Content & Media Excellence team, shaping how measurement drives business value across sectors.
- Lead the development of a measurement framework to standardize performance tracking and insights across the organization.
- Work closely with media agencies and appropriate external partners to develop, deliver, and enhance recurring reporting dashboards and performance scorecards. Align organizations to new standard owned by J&J.
- Act as a key advocate for data integrity proactively identifying and solutioning data issues and gaps.
- Partner with media agencies, AOR, and internal data management teams to ensure accurate, timely, and complete data flows for reporting and analytics.
- Embed framework within operational and strategic discussions at all levels of the business as standard method to understand and evaluate performance and use the insights to make business decisions to optimize execution.
- Act as a Thought Leader in assessing external trends and bringing best in class measurement and insight generation advances to proactively address business needs across all sectors.
- BS Degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or equivalent experience is required; MBA Preferred
- 10+ years Marketing or Media experience in a professional environment, with experience managing and building teams
- Broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare environment, specifically with an understanding of healthcare claims data and its application to marketing optimization
- Prior experience in media analytics, healthcare claims data, and HCP data, especially digital media, with an understanding of what type of data should be tapped across different international markets
- Understanding of data-driven media planning and buying approaches
- Expertise in Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and econometric techniques to measure and optimize media effectiveness across channels
- Expertise in Analytics/Martech/Business Intelligence platforms or BI software
