Transcend is a pharma-wide, multi-year business transformation program that will modernize our end-to-end digital Supply Chain capabilities by harmonizing disparate ERP systems, standardizing core business processes and products, and enabling an integrated data strategy through a single SAP S/4
HANA instance. Driven by Supply Chain, this program is of critical importance to R&D, as R&D's labs, pilot plants and Clinical Supply Chain heavily rely on the Supply Chain SAP platforms. The program follows a regional deployment model, starting in North America. High-level timelines for deployment:
Order to Cash including clinical distribution out of JOM distribution center - launch February 1, 2027. Afterwards the team will seamlessly transition to implementation for EMEA.
We are searching for the best talent for an Intelligent Clinical Supply Management (ICSM) Deployment Lead in our Transcend R&D team to be located in one of the following locations:
Beerse, Belgium;
Malvern PA / Horsham PA / Titusville NJ, United States.

Purpose:In this role you will be accountable for the end-to-end deployment of Intelligent Clinical Supply Management (ICSM) capabilities within the broader program. You will ensure successful solution design, testing, data readiness, cutover, hypercare, and value realization.
The individual will become a functional and domain expert in Clinical Supply Chain processes, including Study Master, Clinical Finished Goods manufacturing, Logistics, distribution and related integrations with SAP S/4
HANA, TIME, RTSM, and external clinical ecosystem applications.
- Leading ICSM deployment activities.
- Driving ICSM-related key design decisions and design activities; facilitating workshops with relevant business partners, Global Template teams, and Deployment teams to translate business requirements into scalable ICSM solutions.
- Leading end-to-end testing cycles, including Business Simulation Testing and User Acceptance Testing. Creating Business Process Scenarios (BPS) specific to R&D and developing E2E test plans. Coordinating testing activities with business SMEs and other deployment teams.
- Supporting cutover and launch activities for the ICSM scope and providing hypercare support post launch.
- Collaborating with the Data Migration Lead to define migration strategy and plan for ICSM-specific master data objects.
- Ensuring deployment activities remain aligned with business objectives, program scope, timeline, quality, and compliance expectations (including GxP and data integrity).
- Driving realization of business value associated with ICSM capabilities; defining and measuring value metrics.
- Identifying and mitigating deployment risks, issues, and dependencies. Raising critical decisions and blockers as needed.
- Building strong partnerships with cross-functional groups including Global Template, CEBA (Change, Engagement & Business Adoption), Deployment organizations, JJT, and implementation partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Biology, Logistics, Information Technology or equivalent experience required.
- Certifications (asset):
Project Management (PMI) or equivalent / SAP professional certification /Supply chain certification (APICS). - Minimum of 3 years of experience in Life Sciences in implementation, support or advanced use of SAP (R&D or commercial) in supply chain processes is required.
- Understanding of GxP and data integrity requirements.
- Knowledge of supporting tools, SDLC and agile methodology (tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability in process standardization and global, end-to-end transformational thinking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
