Manufacturing Planner

Avo Photonics () is a dynamic contract engineering services company that designs, develops, and manufactures custom opto-electronic products for a large customer base. Members of our staff can design, prototype, and produce next generation products for a diverse range of markets including environmental, medical, military, industrial, aerospace, and communications.

We seek a diligent, dedicated, and meticulous Manufacturing Planner who will help to further our success and reputation in the industry through world-class customer service. The successful candidate must plan his/her own work schedule, keep multiple records, be self-motivated, maintain a professional presence, and have the desire to take ownership of projects.

Responsibilities:

• Establish daily and weekly production build schedules to meet customer demand
• Release and distribute production orders to meet build schedules
• Maintain subassembly stock to appropriate levels
• Ensure production jobs close accurately and within the defined period
• Coordinate with Inventory and Manufacturing to resolve any material issues
• Present open job status regularly to enable problem resolution
• Analyze demand and identify any potential material shortages; alert Program Managers when new orders are needed
• Manage routings and Bills of Material within ERP/MES systems
• Work with Finance to set-up new items in ERP system

Requirements:

• B.S. in Operations Management or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of Manufacturing Planning experience with ERP systems
• Highly proficient in spreadsheet applications
• Comfortable working in cleanroom environment
• Proven ability to communicate and lead effectively across organizations
• Experience leading teams for problem resolution
