Senior Production Planner (PSP)
Location:
US - PA - Horsham
Veeco (Horsham) is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and results-driven Senior Production Planner to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy manufacturing environment. In this role, you will take a leadership position in driving end-to-end production planning strategies, aligning supply chain execution with business objectives, inventory optimization, and new product development.
Responsibilities:
- Production Planning & Scheduling:
Own and drive the Master Production Schedule (MPS) across systems, sub-assemblies, and critical components to meet delivery and revenue targets. - Aftermarket (Spares) Planning & Execution:
Manage end-to-end planning and execution of aftermarket orders, ensuring high service levels and rapid response to customer demand. - Upgrades & Retrofit Planning:
Plan and schedule product upgrades, retrofits, and engineering-driven modifications. - Cross-Functional Coordination & Communication:
Act as a central liaison across Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, Logistics, Sales, and Customer Support. - Change Management & Continuous Improvement:
Evaluate and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) with minimal disruption to production and aftermarket operations, and drive planning adjustments related to obsolescence, redesigns, and part substitutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 5+ years of production planning in a manufacturing environment (high-tech or capital equipment preferred).
- APICS certification (CPIM/CSCP) strongly preferred.
- Advanced understanding of MRP/MPS principles and end-to-end supply chain planning.
- Strong expertise in production scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory management.
- Proven experience with ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred) and planning tools.
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate into actionable plans and decisions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership, ownership, and sound judgment in a dynamic environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required; data analysis tools a plus).
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ISO-9000 principles.
Salary and Benefits The expected salary range for this position is $89,955—$132,983 plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors when determining your pay. Other benefits include:
