Quality Engineering Position
This position in Quality Engineering is responsible for enhancing QE methodology and ensuring compliance by working with management to improve quality and process standards that result in on-time and efficient delivery of systems.
Qualifications- 5+ years of QA Test Engineer experience
- BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required
- Highly knowledgeable in QA methodologies.
- Knowledge of process improvement.
- Highly knowledgeable in software development process.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal skills — ability to communicate with both technical and nontechnical customers.
- Excellent written skills/documentation.
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Object Oriented experience (C#, Java, python)
- Experience in Selenium.
- Experience testing Web Services and APi's using tools such as Postman, Swagger, Rest Assured, SoapUI...etc.
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus (jmeter preferred)
- Experience in work management tools (Jira, Rally, Azure Devops..etc)
- Critical thinking in abstract concepts.
- Knowledge of environments, servers, configurations, file systems and other computer functions.
- Ability to work independently as well as a team.
- Experience working in a CI/CD environment.
- Participate in process improvement and compliance to successfully and consistently deliver high-quality software products and services on time, on budget, and to specification, enabling flexibility to react quickly to changes in priorities or circumstances to meet the needs of the business.
- Participate in project reviews.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Monitor debugging process results.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
- Cooperate in the enhancement of the methodologies employed for test planning and execution, defect tracking, and metric and status reporting.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices.
- Maintain framework for record retention in order to support internal and external IT audits.
- Assist with process improvement and compliance to successfully and consistently deliver high-quality software products and services on a timely basis.
- Work across teams to enhance quality functional testing by identifying and helping to implement initiatives that will improve capability and efficiency.
- Work in a metrics driven environment.
- All other duties as assigned.
