Job Overview
Perform basic necropsy laboratory procedures. Participate in the documentation of all activities as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Learn/know correct anatomic terms.
- Assist in the preparation of responses, deviations and other documentation resulting from internal and external reviews and/or audits.
- Assist with and perform basic necropsy procedures (basic dissection, tissue collection/preservation, fresh tissue trimming, sample collection, organ weights etc.).
- Learn/know operation of equipment (calipers, balances, centrifuges, etc).
- Perform basic data collection using a computerized capturing system.
- Perform basic various blood collection techniques.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
The pay for this position is $21.70/hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
QualificationsEducation:
High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) required. Associate’s degree (A.A./A.S.) or equivalent in a biological science preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
Certification/LicensureMust be detail‑oriented and have general familiarity with lab procedures. Good verbal communication skills required. Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
