Job Summary
Key Account Specialist – Gastroenterology (Commission) – New York, NY
Key Responsibilities- Achieve sales goals, market share, and other key metrics for the Immunology portfolio within the assigned geography.
- Influence decision makers and influencers within the assigned customer base to support the use of the company’s products in the treatment of multiple disease states.
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages based on accurate clinical information and approved medical reprints.
- Execute marketing strategies at the local level, leveraging resources, and working with company team members to enhance business results and customer loyalty.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision makers at the local level within healthcare provider systems.
- Gain access to promoted products and sell them in targeted gastroenterology teaching institutions, hospitals, and clinics, establishing long‑term relationships with residents, fellows, attending physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers.
- Coordinate academic sales strategies with teammates to maximize sales within the assigned institutions.
- Maintain administrative functions such as call reporting, safe driving, expense accounting, written and oral communications, and representation at scientific conventions and educational programs.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum eight (8) years of successful pharmaceutical, biologic/biotech, or medical device sales experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of specialty sales experience.
- Valid driver’s license issued in a U.S. state.
- Willingness to travel, including weekend and/or overnight travel.
- Working knowledge of reimbursement, payer, provider, and infusion operations.
- Working knowledge of immunology and/or gastroenterology.
- Prior experience managing complex reimbursement issues.
- Experience in project‑oriented selling within a high‑incentive, individual performance culture.
- Documented successful sales performance (high growth, results vs. plan).

BenefitsBase pay $150,000 – $180,000 based on experience plus incentives and Fleet Car Program. Eligible for company‑sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Eligibility for the consolidated retirement plan (pension and 401(k)) and long-term incentive program. Paid time off includes vacation, sick time, holiday pay, work/personal/family time, parental leave, condolence leave, caregiver leave, volunteer leave, and military spouse time‑off.
