Overview
Eurofins Environmental Testing Philadelphia is a full-service environmental laboratory that provides analytical chemistry and microbiological services to a diverse range of clients. The data are produced within a quality system framework to provide an accurate representation of a sample s constituents and support regulatory compliance decisions.
PositionField Technician is located in the Horsham, PA region. Schedule is Mon-Fri 8:00am–5:00pm with overtime as needed. Compensation range is $17–$20/hour based on field experience. Full benefits. This position is outside the majority of the time and will also drive the company vehicle. A valid Driver s license is required.
Responsibilities- Collect field samples in the assigned area of responsibility from assigned clients.
- Plan and complete the daily route in accordance with priorities; notify supervisor of any changes to the plan.
- Prepare and deliver sample containers/materials to clients to support their accounts.
- Transport, set up, utilize, troubleshoot, and break down sampling/monitoring equipment for projects.
- Communicate with customers about sample collection timelines and access requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with supervisor and the main laboratory, providing timeline and sample updates.
- Perform on-site testing as required, record data, and complete/submit all required documents.
- Transport samples back to the laboratory with custody documentation; coordinate with other technicians if needed for transfers.
- Drive safely and maintain the assigned vehicle (cleanliness and maintenance).
- Observe OSHA safety requirements and company health and safety policies; do not enter confined spaces without approval.
- Fill out and maintain documentation related to field sampling and keep records in a complete and ethical manner.
- Work assigned shifts with flexibility to overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- 2–4 years of experience in environmental and monitoring well sampling (preferred but not mandatory; training available).
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in environmental sciences, biology, chemistry, or earth sciences is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; samples will be in coolers packed in ice.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; adaptable with good time management and record-keeping skills.
The company will provide required training and a vehicle for use during work hours. All offers are contingent upon successful pre-employment drug screen and background check.
