Position Summary
The Administration Receptionist serves as the first impression of the agency and the hospitality anchor of the campus. This position ensures the front office, lobby, and common areas are welcoming, organized, and professional at all times. In addition to managing front desk operations, the Receptionist provides administrative support, coordinates meeting logistics, and assists with agency quality improvement and operational tasks. The Receptionist will also be responsible for welcoming visitors and operating a multi-line telephone system.
This role requires a highly personable, respectful, and engaging professional who models the organization’s values in every interaction.
- Greet all visitors, clients, donors, and community partners warmly and professionally and announce visitors to appropriate personnel
- Operate multi-line phone system and direct calls appropriately and take messages when personnel are not available
- Ensure lobby and front desk area are clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
- Record donations received on donation form
- Maintain secure visitor sign‑in procedures
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client information
- Participate in agency performance quality improvement
- Provide general administrative support including filing, documentation, supply inventory, and other compliance‑related tasks
- Work collaboratively with staff to support agency operations and culture
- Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Director
Minimum Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working in an office environment
- Experience working with the public
- Pass a drug screen and maintain a current TB card
- Must have a current Arkansas Driver’s license and be insurable under OCYFS’s commercial vehicle insurance policy
- Must receive child maltreatment clearance through the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry
- Must receive adult maltreatment clearance through Arkansas Protective Services‑Adult Maltreatment Central Registry
- Must receive Arkansas State Police criminal background clearance as mandated by Arkansas Department of Human Services, Minimum Licensing Standards for Child Welfare Agencies
The Receptionist works effectively with all agency staff members to promote a positive, productive ethical culture.
