Radius Aerospace– Hot Springs is a leading manufacturer of sheet metal parts and assemblies used in the aviation industry. We utilize a wide range of metal forming techniques and special manufacturing processes, servicing the commercial, military, regional jet, helicopter, and general aviation markets.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Estimator to join our manufacturing team. This position plays a critical role in supporting profitable growth by preparing accurate cost estimates for new and existing products, analyzing manufacturing costs, and partnering with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure competitive pricing and sound business decisions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates for new products, customer quotes, and engineering changes.
- Analyze material, labor, overhead, tooling, freight, and outside processing costs.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Sales to gather data required for accurate cost estimates.
- Review customer specifications, drawings, and bills of material to determine production requirements.
- Develop and maintain estimating models, costing databases, and standard cost information.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing manufacturing costs and operational efficiencies.
- Assist with margin analysis and profitability reporting.
- Maintain documentation supporting all estimates and pricing decisions.
- Participate in customer quote reviews and project launch meetings as needed.
- High School Diploma or general education degree required.
- Previous manufacturing experience highly preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Understanding of Aerospace Aluminium sheet-metal fabrication processes, tool manufacturing, titanium forming, assembly structures and BOMs, and Machining.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, labor standards, and material costing.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and bills of material.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
