The Business Intelligence, Reporting & Application Development Intern will support the Information Systems team by assisting with report development, dashboard creation, data analysis, and process improvement initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience with Power BI, Infor Birst, Infor CSI (Cloud Suite Industrial), while being exposed to Mongoose to help transform business data into meaningful insights and develop solutions that improve operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, technically curious, and interested in data analytics, business intelligence, ERP systems, and application development.

• Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining reports within Power BI, Infor Birst, and Infor CSI.
• Create, modify, and enhance dashboards and KPI visualizations.
• Analyze business data to identify trends, opportunities, and exceptions.
• Support ad-hoc reporting requests from management and operational teams.
• Assist in validating and reconciling data to ensure reporting accuracy.

• Assist in the design and development of Power BI dashboards and analytics solutions.
• Support the creation of centralized information hubs and dashboards within Birst and/or CSI.
• Improve dashboard usability through enhanced layouts, navigation, and data visualization techniques.
• Collaborate with end users to gather requirements and develop reporting solutions that meet business needs.
• Support executive and operational reporting initiatives.

• Analyze and organize data from ERP and business systems.
• Help identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve workflows.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and reporting.
• Assist with process documentation and standardization efforts.

• Create user guides, process documentation, and training materials.
• Provide support during software implementations, upgrades, and improvement projects.
• Assist end users with reporting and dashboard-related questions.

• Currently pursuing a degree in:
  Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Software Development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence platforms.
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with low-code/no-code development tools is a plus.
• Interest in business process automation and software development.

This internship provides exposure to real-world manufacturing operations, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, business intelligence platforms, application development, and digital transformation initiatives. Interns will work directly with Information Systems professionals on projects that support business decision-making, increase operational efficiency, and improve employee productivity.

Projects may include:

• Developing Power BI dashboards for executive and operational reporting.
• Building and enhancing Birst analytics solutions.
• Creating and modifying Dataviews in Infor CSI.
• Supporting ERP modernization and process automation initiatives.
• Creating centralized information portals and reporting hubs.
• Assisting with data analysis and business process improvements.

• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to participate in meetings and collaborate with employees across departments.
• Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment as needed.
