Machine Operator

Job Description Summary

This position manages and verifies that the product produced within a designated cell meets customer requirements.

• Accountable for personal adherence to all applicable Safety, GMP, Food Safety and Plant Policies.
• Perform shot inspections.
• Control nonconforming product as defined in the Work Instruction for Critical Event Communication.
• Execute line clearances and start-up approvals.
• Complete random finished goods box sampling/audits.
• Assist with coordinating color and mold changes.
• Notify technicians of quality or machine problems.
• Complete the required production reporting documents.
• Perform liner roll changes.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.
• Support the accomplishment of your work groups through quality, timeliness and professionalism.
• Supply accurate and timely data as required by performance tracking and reporting.
• Apply resources in a manner that maximizes their effectiveness in assuring quality.
• Maintain a work environment that contributes to safety and GMP compliance.
• Adhere to established procedures, perform self‑checking and pay attention to detail in your work.
• Notify management promptly of any procedural compliance problems.
• Report observed quality problems and deficiencies promptly.
• Make recommendations to management for improving quality and efficiency of work.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of basic math.
• Able to work 12‑hour shifts.
• Past experience and/or proven ability.

Food Safety / GMP manufacturing environment. Regularly required to carry, lift and stack up to 35 lb. cartons.
