Position Overview

We’re seeking a Nurse (Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse) to work at Fountain Lake School District in Hot Springs, AR.

Compensation & Work Schedule
  • Registered Nurse: $20 per hour;
    Licensed Practical Nurse: $17 per hour.
  • Shift: 1st.
Responsibilities
  • Provide essential health care services to students in a school environment.
  • Participate in medical examinations and evaluate students’ health status.
  • Collaborate with school staff to address students’ social, emotional, and physical needs.
  • Administer immunizations, first-aid, and maintain health records.
  • Counsel students on good health habits and promote a safe learning environment.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA Standards related to bio-hazardous materials, hepatitis, and first aid/CPR training.
  • Oversee medication dispensing, including proper authorization, administration, and documentation.
  • Verify student identity and dosage instructions before dispensing medication.
  • Work with school staff and parents regarding students who require exclusion for medical reasons.
Qualifications
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
  • Ability to obtain Arkansas Division of Elementary & Secondary Education background clearance.
  • Pass a TB test.
  • Passionate about supporting student health and education.
