Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner with CHI St. Vincent Medical Group working at CHI St. Vincent Convenient Care, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive and efficient care to patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.
In your practice, you will utilize your clinical expertise to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of common medical conditions in an outpatient setting. You will be passionate about providing high-quality, accessible healthcare to our community.
To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled and compassionate Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner committed to providing high quality comprehensive care within a community focused practice.
In your role, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and ordering appropriate diagnostic tests (e.g., labs, X-rays).
- Formulate accurate diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Prescribe medications and other therapeutic interventions as needed, adhering to all regulatory guidelines.
- Perform minor procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage, and wound care.
- Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic medical records (Epic).
- Follow a 7-day rotation working every other weekend.
- Certified Nurse Practitioner active or eligible license in the state of Arkansas
- BLS
- ACLS
