Big Island- Equipment Specialist

Job Overview:

Job Summary:

** The Equipment Specialist will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of various heavy equipment on Primoris Services Corporation projects located on the Big Island.

Job Responsibilities:

*** Perform routine preventative maintenance on a diverse range of construction equipment, including excavators, dozers, loaders, and other heavy machinery.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with equipment.
* Execute repairs, replacements, and adjustments to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, parts used, and equipment status.
* Order and manage inventory of spare parts and consumables for equipment.
* Conduct pre-operational checks and safety inspections on equipment.
* Collaborate with project managers and operators to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
* Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
* Travel to various job sites on the Big Island as required.

Job Qualifications:

*** Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
* Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components common to construction equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic charts.
* Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
* High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications are a plus.
