Travel Physical Therapist - Home Health

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week home health assignment working Tuesday through Saturday.

Job Details

• Home health setting serving patients of all ages with developmental deficits, physical injuries, or illness,

• 8-hour shifts scheduled Tuesday through Saturday,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required,

• Active state PT license required (if applicable),

• BLS/BCLS certification required,

• Experience with Medicare documentation requirements and compliance standards preferred,

• Knowledge of home health regulations including Federal, State, JCAHO, and payer requirements,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include direct therapeutic care, plan of care development, and continual reassessment of client and family needs,

• Performs and monitors physical therapy treatments using modalities such as whirlpool baths, electrical muscle stimulation, and ultrasound,

• May supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Home Health Aides in accordance with Federal and State laws and agency policy,

• Conducts PTA and Home Health Aide supervisory visits and prepares written care instructions as applicable,

• Documentation must comply with Medicare, State, Federal, JCAHO, insurance, and payer requirements,

• Participates in staff meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement programs,
