American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Acute Care position with 12-hour varied shifts and at least 1 year of nursing experience.

• Acute Care unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour varied shifts
• 13-week assignment

• Active SD or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

• Deliver and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process - assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans with patients, families, and care teams
• Administer medications, fluids, and respiratory treatments as prescribed
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient status and care
• Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and discharge care
• Provide leadership and guidance to assigned staff, including orientation and training of new team members
• Supportive, collaborative work culture with opportunities for professional growth
• Prior acute care or hospital nursing experience preferred but not required
