Deepwater Mechanic

Overview

The position of Deepwater Mechanic entails operating an offshore production facility according to customer specifications, conducting testing, calibration, maintenance, and inspections of equipment, and completing mandatory paperwork for both customers and governmental agencies. Additionally, responsibilities include troubleshooting and maintaining various equipment such as turbine compressors, generators, gas/diesel generators, and reciprocating equipment like pumps and compressors.

• Operate offshore production facility in accordance with customer requirements
• Test, calibrate, maintain and inspect equipment
• Perform mandatory paperwork required by customer and government agencies
• Maintain and troubleshoot, turbine compressors, generators, gas/diesel generators, compressors, reciprocating equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.)

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 3-6 years mechanic experience required with experience offshore on a production platform.
• Minimum one year experience on a Gulf of America offshore platform.
• SAP PM or other CMMS experience.
• Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, engines)
• Turbine maintenance experience
• Familiarity with Permit to Work (PTW) systews.
• Experience with shaft alignment (laser alignment), vibration analysis and oil sampling preferred.
• Organization skills to maintain platform
• Excellent interpersonal communications skills in a team environment
• Creating policies and procedures for maintenance, testing, and inspections of offshore lifeboats
• Advanced Firefighting and lifeboats man certifiction preferred.
