The Credit Operations Associate plays a key role in supporting the Bank's commercial lending and credit administration functions. This position works closely with Credit Analysts, Commercial Lenders, Loan Operations, and Senior Credit Leadership to ensure the accurate collection, analysis, monitoring, and maintenance of financial and loan-related information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Credit Administration & Financial Analysis- Support Credit Analysts and lenders in the administration of commercial and consumer loan portfolios.
- Collect, organize, and maintain borrower financial statements, tax returns, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with financial statement spreading and updates using bank-approved systems.
- Monitor financial reporting requirements and proactively request updated borrower information.
- Maintain financial information databases and ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare renewal packages for maturing consumer and commercial loans.
- Monitor asset-based lines of credit and support the processing of advances and payments.
- Review and track accounts receivable aging reports and collateral reporting requirements.
- Maintain collateral monitoring logs and related tracking reports.
- Assist with floor plan financing administration and monitoring activities.
- Participate in on-site and off-site collateral verification and accounts receivable audits as required.
- Maintain appraisal, evaluation, confirmation, and revalidation records.
- Ensure collateral documentation is properly indexed and maintained.
- Update property descriptions and supporting collateral information as required.
- Serve as backup support for appraisal administration processes.
- Ensure appraisal and collateral documentation remains current and compliant with policy requirements.
- Electronically manage financial statements, tax returns, collateral documentation, and credit files.
- Ensure timely indexing, imaging, and organization of credit-related documents.
- Maintain accurate and confidential customer and loan information.
- Support records retention and document management procedures.
- Professionally communicate with customers regarding financial information requests and loan-related documentation.
- Build positive relationships through responsive and professional service.
- Assist customers, lenders, and internal stakeholders with credit administration inquiries.
- Provide timely support while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Support the Credit Department Supervisor, Credit Analysts, Chief Credit Officer, Loan Operations Director, Compliance Officer, and lending teams.
- Develop a working knowledge of the Bank's lending products, services, and credit processes.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to facilitate efficient loan administration and portfolio management.
- Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, information security requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding customer and bank information.
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, accountability, and sound judgment.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Working understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Previous banking, finance, accounting, credit administration, lending support, or financial services experience.
- Experience analyzing financial statements or working with financial documentation is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Interest in pursuing a career in commercial banking, credit analysis, lending, or financial services.
