Overview
A Material Handler locates and moves materials and parts from storage areas into shops and designated work areas for production, and assists in maintaining inventories.
Responsibilities- Load and unload materials using various moving equipment.
- Identify and inspect materials.
- Assist in maintaining inventories.
- Handle, resolve, and coordinate activities with the Material Control and Production departments.
- At least 6 months of material handling or warehousing experience (preferred).
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of materials used in the construction of vessels.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
