1st Class Aluminum Pulse Welder

We are seeking a dedicated Aluminum Pulse Welder with at least 3 months of Aluminum (GMAW-P) welding experience. The candidate will weld together structural metal components as specified in blueprints, work orders, or oral instructions.

• Minimum of 3 months of Aluminum (GMAW-P) welding experience
• Must pass a hands‑on 3G/4G aluminum (GMAW-P) pulse welding test with the 3G position uphill progression and 4G entirely in the overhead position

• Proficiency in welding techniques

• Obtains the appropriate tools needed for a particular job and subsequently sets up their equipment
• Binds together structural metal components that have been pre‑assembled and tacked into place
• Performs good, cosmetic sound welds
• Examines his/her work and may chip off excess weld, slag, and splatter with the appropriate tools (i.e. grinder, chipping hammer, etc.)
• Leaves little to no rework when the job is complete (i.e. cold rolls, pin holes, wraps, burn throughs, etc.)
• Troubleshoots his/her equipment
• May gouge/grind to remove a member, make a seam sound, remove weld reinforcement, etc.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
• Must be able to work/climb in elevations greater than 5“
• Must be able to wear/work a respirator when applicable
