Furniture Mart in Houma, LA is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Retail Furniture Store Manager Trainee to join our growing team! • Learn all aspects of retail store operations under the guidance of experienced store management
• Assist in leading and motivating a sales team to meet and exceed store revenue goals
• Deliver outstanding customer service and help shoppers find the perfect furniture solutions
• Support inventory management, merchandising, and showroom floor presentation
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, and daily operational tasks
• Participate in sales training programs and develop product knowledge across furniture lines
• Help resolve customer concerns and ensure a positive in‑store experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ years of retail, sales, or customer service experience
• Strong leadership potential with a desire to grow into a management role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and eager to learn
• Basic computer proficiency and comfort with retail POS systems
