The RoleThe Sales Manager – PT is a key role in Acima’s retail partner stores, responsible for managing all activities within an assigned store. The manager maximizes store revenue and profit through efficient management of all store activities, including selection, training, and ongoing development of coworkers. The manager is also accountable for meeting sales goals and improving processes to increase store sales.
CompensationThe Sales Manager – PT position is paid at an hourly rate of $15.74 – $19.09 in accordance with Acima’s payroll procedures. As an hourly employee, you must accurately record all time worked, including start and stop times for each work period, and comply with all applicable meal and rest period laws.
Key Responsibilities- Management and Leadership
- Manage and direct the work of all store coworkers on a day‑to‑day basis
- Motivate, evaluate, coach, and counsel coworkers, holding them accountable for duties and company policies, including discipline up to termination
- Identify and recommend coworkers for promotion to Sales Manager and Assistant Sales Manager positions
- Establish partnerships with store personnel to generate referrals and educate them on the rental and lease process
- Train, supervise, and assess coworkers’ dedication to exceptional customer service
- Use discretion and judgment in day‑to‑day management duties related to store personnel, sales, and customers
- Enhance coworkers’ sales and account management skills through ongoing training and coaching
- Resolve coworker and customer issues and complaints promptly to maintain consistent customer satisfaction and friendly service
- Create a positive work environment to enhance coworker retention and minimize turnover
- Recruit, interview, and hire coworkers for the store

- Supervise and guide coworkers in sales activities
- Facilitate the conversion of rental and lease agreements with customers and oversee sales outcomes to ensure revenue growth
- Address challenging accounts requiring managerial intervention
- Authorize customer commitments
- Communicate and promote the accessibility, flexibility, and convenience of Acima’s leasing services to potential customers
- Educate customers on lease terms and delivery protocols, review overdue accounts, and encourage timely payments
- Oversee sales and account operations
- Guide customer interactions on leasing options, ensuring clarity on payment terms and top‑notch service
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Proven track record of success in retail sales management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
- Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising principles
- Familiarity with rental or leasing industry practices is a plus
- Organized, with time‑management skills and the ability to multi‑task
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

This is a part‑time position. The days and hours of operation are Monday through Sunday, with varied shifts that include evenings and weekends.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the Sales Manager is regularly required to talk and listen to coworkers and customers. The position is highly active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing at times throughout the day.
