1st Class Carbon Steel Pipe Fitter

A 1st Class Carbon Steel Pipe Fitter performs layout, fabrication, installation, testing, and repair of pipe systems. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 6 months of carbon pipe fitting experience and the ability to successfully demonstrate proficiency in various hands‑on pipe fitting tasks.

• Perform layout, fabrication, installation, testing, and repair of pipe systems.
• Apply a bevel using a grinder with a sanding disc.
• Cut the opposing end of the pipe to saddle a pipe of the same size at a 90‑degree angle.
• Perform silver brazing of a socket joint pipe in the horizontal (flat and horizontal flow) and vertical (vertical up flow) positions per ASME requirements.

• Minimum of 6 months of carbon pipe fitting experience.
• Ability to successfully demonstrate proficiency in the hands‑on pipe fitter test, including:
• Applying a bevel using a grinder with a sanding disc.
• Cutting the opposing end of the pipe to saddle a pipe of the same size at a 90‑degree angle.
