Position Overview
Report to the Facility Maintenance Supervisor under the general direction of the Facility Maintenance Manager. The facility maintenance worker will support heliport facilities and equipment, manage aircraft fuel distribution, and ensure all duties are performed safely and efficiently.
Essential Duties & Accountability- Assist the supervisor in all operational and maintenance activities and report to the Facility Maintenance Manager.
- Maintain facility grounds, buildings, vehicles, and equipment in safe working condition.
- Perform routine inspections and service of company buildings, equipment, and vehicles.
- Obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) if assigned to the fuel team.
- Ensure compliance with company training, documentation, and safety procedures.
- Distribute base consumable products and manage aviation ground support equipment.
- Support aircraft fueling operations, including fuel deliveries, fueling aircraft, inspecting equipment, and maintaining fuel quality.
- Document maintenance activities and report issues to supervisors.
- Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders promptly.
- Assist with equipment setup, furniture assembly, and office moves.
- Investigate and resolve fuel spills or emergencies according to established procedures.
- Perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs as needed.
- Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and repair materials.
- Work in all weather conditions and handle physical demands as required.
- Follow safety protocols and report safety concerns, near‑misses, or incidents using Stop Work authority.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Four or more years of work experience in a fast‑paced, multi‑facility environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in computer applications and systems.
- Organized, detail oriented, and capable of prioritizing tasks.
- Effective time management and ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Ability to work well under high pressure and in collaborative team environments.
- On‑the‑job training including fuel handling procedures, safety protocols, and equipment handling.
- Annual company training (e.g., IT, ITAR, Fuel Handling).
- Operational training on fuel trucks, forklifts, golf carts, mowers, tractors, and other equipment.
