Job Description

As a Homebuilders Therapist, you’ll provide intensive, in‑home crisis intervention and evidence‑based support to families at risk of separation. Through flexible, hands‑on services, you’ll empower parents, strengthen family relationships, build practical skills and help create safe, stable homes where children and families can thrive. Minimum Requirements Bachelors level:
  • Bachelor Degree in social services (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology etc.)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in social services
  • Bachelor’s Level: Starting at $45,000/year
Masters level:
  • Masters Degree in social services (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology etc.)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in social services
  • Master’s Level: Starting at $50,000/year
Core Competencies
  • Effectively demonstrate the understanding and practice of the Homebuilders Model.
  • Communicate respectfully and effectively and establish professional relationships.
  • Promotes recovery, independence, and personal choice for participants. Assists participants in identifying strengths, needs, and realistic goals to develop a service plan.
  • Accurately identifies risk and responds appropriately.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of behavioral health symptoms, interventions, and impact.
  • Maintains professional boundaries and operates within agency /ethical guidelines.
  • Knowledge of agency and community resources and referral processes.
Job Duties / Skills Required
  • Complete mandatory training series for Homebuilders Model.
  • Participate in weekly supervision and consultation for Homebuilders Model.
  • Schedule and maintain a flexible workweek to meet the needs of families, scheduled program meetings and documentation responsibilities.
  • Receive referrals 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Ensure family intake sessions occur within 24 hours of referral.
  • Provide crisis response and support to families 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
  • Provide consistent, quality services while maintaining fidelity to the Homebuilders Model.
  • Maintain contact with relevant stakeholders for each Homebuilders family.
  • Promote the agency/program within the community.
  • Meet guidelines for submission of notes into ECM and AWARDS electronic data systems.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Commitment to the Homebuilders Model.
  • Ability to work with diverse individuals/families/populations.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain client and employee confidentiality.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Requires working nontraditional, flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Work is performed in family homes, the community and an office environment.
  • Requires extensive travel to family homes and throughout the community.
  • Involves exposure to tobacco smoke, domestic animals, household pests, and other conditions common to home environments.
  • Maintain a caseload of 2 Homebuilders families at any given time.
  • Provide at least 16-18 hours of billable services per week.
  • Data entry into AWARDS and Homebuilders’ system, ECM.
