Overview
Our client, a well-established company located in Houston, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a collaborative, professional environment with strong growth potential.
Responsibilities- Perform month-end and year-end closings, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
- Identify process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and finance teams to ensure timely financial reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 3-7 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices.
- Public Accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard accounting software.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
