Senior Accountant

Overview

Our client, a well-established company located in Houston, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a collaborative, professional environment with strong growth potential.

• Perform month-end and year-end closings, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
• Identify process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and finance teams to ensure timely financial reporting.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 3-7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices.
• Public Accounting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard accounting software.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
