Salary: $19,200.00 - $65,000.00

• Reconcile bank statements for agency depository accounts monthly.
• Prepare and submit timely monthly financials for component business units—GCEDD, LDC, and AERCO.
• Maintain and reconcile EDA loan report.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts quarterly.
• Review and verify project codes on expenditures to ensure compliance with grant guidelines and regulations.
• Perform other accounting duties as needed.

• Knowledge of governmental accounting principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to accurately perform multiple tasks & prioritize deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications.
• Familiarity with general ledger systems; H-GAC uses MIP accounting system.

• A degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study.
• Less than 1 year of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, school, or in job-related duties.
• All employees of H-GAC must reside within the agency’s region of service.
