Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Contract Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance and accounting team. This is a contract opportunity supporting business operations, ensuring vendors are paid on time and financial records remain accurate.

Responsibilities:

+ Review, code, and process invoices in accordance with company policies using Oracle software.

+ Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teams.

+ Maintain organized AP files and documentation for audits and reporting.

+ Set up new vendors and manage updates within the accounting system.

+ Assist with month-end closing and provide timely support to management.

+ Respond to payment inquiries and manage the AP email inbox.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Prior experience with accounts payable or general accounting processes.

+ Experience using Oracle software for AP functions.

+ Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.

+ Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.

+ Ability to communicate effectively and work independently or collaboratively.
