Senior Accountant

We’re partnered with a well-established, Houston-based shared services organization supporting multiple operating entities. This is a high-visibility Senior Accountant role for someone who thrives in a structured, close environment, owns reconciliations end-to-end, and delivers clean, audit-ready work with speed and accuracy.

• Record and track fixed assets (additions, transfers, disposals) and generate asset roll-forward schedules
• Perform income statement variance analysis and support reporting to leadership
• Prepare bank reconciliations, intercompany transfers, and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Prepare intercompany expense allocations, monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, and adjusting/reclass journal entries as needed
• Support a portion of royalty payments tied to production and storage activity
• Adhere to monthly close deadlines and maintain strong documentation throughout the cycle
• Participate in audits and provide timely support for information requests
• Assist with process improvements to streamline accounting workflows and controls
• Respond to management requests and research accounting issues as needed
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 5+ years of accounting experience (industry and/or public accounting)
• Manufacturing or mining industry experience required
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, lookups, variance analysis)
• ERP experience required; SAP strongly preferred
