Senior Accountant

Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant
, with openness to a strong Staff Accountant
, who has hands-on manufacturing and cost accounting experience
. This role will support a growing organization and play a key part in monthly close, inventory and cost accounting, and financial reporting
, while partnering closely with operations.

Cost & Manufacturing Accounting

• Support and analyze product costing
  , including standard and actual costs
• Perform cost variance analysis (materials, labor, overhead) and partner with operations
• Assist with inventory accounting for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
• Reconcile inventory balances and support cycle counts and physical inventories
• Assist with cost roll-ups, BOM reviews, and margin analysis

General Ledger & Close

• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Review financial results for accuracy and completeness
• Assist with GAAP financial reporting
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Maintain internal controls and documentation
• Partner cross‑functionally with manufacturing, operations, and supply chain
• Participate in process improvement and system enhancement initiatives

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3–7+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated cost accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Experience with ERP systems (Net Suite, SAP, Epicor, Oracle, etc.)
• Solid Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, analysis)

Preferred

• Experience in a high‑growth or scaling manufacturing company
