Development Accounting Manager

We’re partnering with a well-established, vertically integrated real estate development firm to hire a Development Accounting Manager to support an active pipeline of construction and development projects.

This is a hands-on leadership role with ownership over development accounting, construction draws, and lender/JV reporting, working closely with Development, Construction, and Treasury teams.

• Own development accounting across multiple active construction projects
• Prepare and manage monthly construction lender draws
• Oversee job cost accounting
  , WIP/POC
  , and variance analysis
• Lead month-end and year-end close for development entities
• Ensure compliance with lender and JV reporting requirements
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Manage and develop a small accounting team (3)
• Partner closely with Development, Construction, and senior leadership
• Support deal closings and transition projects to property accounting upon completion

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of accounting experience within real estate development or construction
• Proven experience with:
• Job cost accounting & WIP/POC
• Prior experience leading or mentoring accounting staff
• ERP experience preferred (
  Sage Intacct / Sage 300 a plus
  )
