We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our accounting function with a particular emphasis on supporting our manufacturing operations and leveraging Oracle. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting knowledge, hands-on manufacturing industry experience, and proven Oracle expertise to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, and fixed assets.
- Oversee and drive the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and standard procedures to support operational and financial integrity.
- Partner closely with manufacturing, operations, supply chain, and plant leadership to ensure accurate cost accounting, inventory valuation, and production cost allocation.
- Support annual financial audits and compliance activities; prepare audit schedules, respond to auditor inquiries, and address control recommendations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead Oracle ERP accounting functions, drive system improvements, data integrity initiatives, and collaborate with IT on Oracle enhancements or module implementations.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation to streamline accounting operations.
- Mentor and develop accounting team members to build capability and succession strength.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with exposure to standard costing, inventory accounting, and cost analysis.
- Proven experience with Oracle ERP systems
- Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
