They are seeking an Accountant to join their team on a contract basis
, providing essential support across general ledger and payroll‑related accounting functions

In this hybrid Accountant position, you will support both daily and monthly accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations, payroll analysis
, and process improvement initiatives. You will work closely with the accounting and operations teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal standards and GAAP.
This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities- Support general ledger functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end close activities.
- Perform payroll analysis and assist with payroll‑related accounting processes.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, audit schedules, and historical accounting data analysis.
- Maintain and apply current knowledge of GAAP
, ensuring proper accounting treatment and documentation. - Assist with evaluating, documenting, and improving accounting systems, processes, and internal controls.
- Provide backup support for other financial reporting areas.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Operations and HR.
- Contribute to special projects such as budgeting, forecasting, systems enhancements, and financial analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
, ideally with exposure to both general ledger and payroll processes. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain accounting concepts.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).
- Experience with accounting software (Infor‑CSD, Sage, One Stream preferred).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with payroll accounting and accruals is highly preferred.
- Availability for additional hours during peak deadlines (quarter‑end and year‑end).
- Limited, infrequent travel may be required.
