Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year

Mid‑sized manufacturing company seeks to add a Plant Cost Accountant to their growing team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of cost‑accounting experience within the manufacturing industry and is looking to add value and grow within a company.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
• 8+ years of accounting experience in the manufacturing industry
• 5+ years of cost‑accounting experience within manufacturing
• Previous experience personally owning standard cost rollups in ERP, WIP, inventory, and variance analysis (not just supporting or reviewing) for standard cost updates tied to production
• This company has been around for over 10 years, and their Houston location is relatively new; they need someone experienced in cost accounting who can come in and add value
• Experience maintaining BOMs and routings (with calculations at the part level), cycle counts, cost variance analysis, labor standards, overhead and working closely with engineering/operations to understand process flow and what drives variances, cost structures, and how they change when operating conditions shift
