The Joint Venture Audit Coordinator is responsible for supporting the company’s joint interest billing accounting functions and ensures that expenditures are recorded within the framework of Talos Energy Inc.’s policies and procedures in compliance of applicable regulations. Job duties extend to supporting the joint venture audit functions, including the hosting of audits and the resolution of open exceptions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Coordinate audit engagements of Talos operated properties with Joint Venture Partners.
- Assist in audit engagements of non-operated properties with Joint Venture Partners.
- Assist in resolution of open audit exceptions for operated and non-operated properties.
- Prepare various journal vouchers associated with audit revisions.
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships with Drilling, Facilities, Operations and Accounting personnel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, preferably related to joint interest billings or joint venture audits.
- Possess strong analytical skills.
- Able to perform detailed work with speed and accuracy.
- Able to organize and prioritize a diverse and significant workload consisting of many detailed, separate procedures and deadlines.
- Creates strong work relationships.
- Communicates effectively, both orally in person and using a telephone and in writing.
- Recognizes personal strengths and weaknesses and be proactive in self-development.
- Has a strong sense of integrity and the ability to deal with ethical situations effectively.
- Willing to work a demanding and flexible schedule.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office;
Experience in BOLO, Excalibur or SAP accounting systems preferred.
- There are no certificates, licenses or registrations required for this position.
Employee must be able to sit for extended periods of time and have use of arms and hands in repetitive motion. A fair amount of standing and walking is also required for the position.
