Senior Project Accountant

Overview

Tarvos Talent is partnering with a growing organization within the real estate and development industry that is expanding its project accounting team. This Senior Project Accountant opportunity is heavily focused on construction and development accounting, offering strong exposure to project lifecycle reporting, lender funding, and complex financial analysis.

• Manage project and development accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and support month-end close processes
• Coordinate closely with Controllers, Project Managers, and cross-functional teams
• Prepare investor and lender funding requests, construction draws, and escrow activity
• Support treasury functions including wire setups and debt service payments
• Perform general ledger analysis, revenue billings, and cash receipt tracking
• Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules related to development projects
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, audits, and internal controls processes
• Research accounting guidance and document treatment for complex transactions
• Contribute to process improvements and support junior team members as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years public accounting OR 4+ years professional accounting experience
• Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• CPA (or pursuing) is a plus
• Experience with large ERP systems such as Oracle or JD Edwards is advantageous
